Shirley Lee recently posted a great suggestion for the 'analysis' stage of the SWOT Analysis. She suggests doing a BB - benefits and barriers - on each opportunity. This will help you to make a reasoned decision about which opportunities to pursue immediately, which to research further, and which ones to ignore. This is a great example of how the Fan - Explore - Focus Model can be used when you are doing a SWOT Analysis.
